The Phoenix Diners Collective is the brainchild of Robby Weyers and Tyka Chheng.

Robby was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ.  He studied Public Service and Policy with a concentration in Sustainability at Arizona Sate University, focusing on food system sustainability and community leadership and organization.  A diner at heart, Robby has spent most of his adult life eating and drinking around town and the country.  He has spent the better part of a decade working in the restaurant and hospitality industry and currently works at Quiessence at The Farm at South Mountain. 

Tyka Chheng is from Long Beach, CA. He first started cooking in his mothers kitchen when he grew tired of waiting for her to come home.  Since his parents worked so late, Tyka asked his mom to teach him the household comfort food so he could have supper ready by the time they returned home. After helping his parents restaurant business in his youth, Tyka decided to follow his dream and venture into a culinary career. Years later he decided to start the Phoenix Diners Collective with Robby.

We believe the collective can be a creative outlet for inspired chefs, mixologists, musicians, and artists who want to express themselves. The strength of our community lies in its foundation and the Phoenix Diners Collective is simply providing a platform to amplify the talents of Arizona’s culinary creatives. We'll showcase unique and inventive stories by partnering with an array of local chefs, artists, musicians, and mixologists to bring you one-of-a-kind dining experiences.
