Join us Monday, July 1st for an exciting culinary event curated by the Phoenix Diners Collective and The Sleepy Whale! Chef Zachery Dick will be preparing 5-courses using locally sourced ingredients while The Sleepy Whale pairs beer, wine, mead, or sake with each course. Additional drinks are available to purchase through The Sleepy Whale, including a special reception beer available at 6:00. Event is 21+, dietary restrictions and food allergies can be accommodated with 7 day advanced notice.
Zach was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY. After graduating from high school Zach attended Johnson & Wales in Charlotte, NC where he received his associates in Culinary Arts. Zach decided to move down south and worked in several high end hotels including Sea island Resort in Sea Island GA, The Breakers in Palm Beach FL and PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens FL. He moved Rochester NY where he became the Chef de Cuisine at Next Door by Wegmans. Before moving to Arizona he was the Executive Chef for Dogfish Head Craft Brewery In Rehoboth Beach DE where he opened Chesapeake & Maine and the new Dogfish Head brewing & Eats. He always had a passion for food but here is where his passion for beer really took off. He’s now an executive chef at a local gastropub in Tempe AZ.
